10.07.2024 BBC East Midlands reported on our ambulance project. RaksTrust was able to out and see the ambulance in Malawi earlier this year and see how it is being used to help treat people and save lives.

02.09.2023 RaksTrust completed an ascent of Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England! 50+ plus of all ages completed Scafell Pike in glorious sunshine to help raise money for our latest project to build a school block in Nepal as part of the Gurkha Welfare Trust’s school rebuilding programme. Well done to all those who made the ascent!

03.09.2022 RaksTrust attempted Helvellyn a second time as part of its annual walking event in 2022. In 2019 RaksTrust’s first attempt was defeated by the weather. However, this year the trust suceeded in getting to the top and descended via Swirral Edge. A special mention to Theo who, at 8 years old and the youngest attendee, was able to get to the top!

19.06.2022 RaksTrust announces it’s latest project to raise £45,000 to build a school block in Nepal with the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) schools rebuilding programme, following the devasting earthquake in Nepal in 2015.

09.02.2022 Bradgate Park has planted an oak tree in honour of the fallen from Leicestershire, post Second World War. The tree was planted on 9th February with a plaque. The oak and plaque will act as a memorial for centuries to come.

17.08.2021 The RaksTrust ambulance project was picked up by local BBC news! Both Kishor Chauhan from RaksTrust and Yvonne Pulford from Love Support Unite featured in an interview, demonstrating how the ambulance is making a huge difference in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Since it’s arrival in February this year, it has been used to help treat over 40,000 people for everything from malaria testing to maternity care. Once again a huge thank you for all your support in making this wonderful project a reality and you can watch the interview from the link below.

02.02.2021 The ambulance that RaksTrust was working towards finally arrives at it’s final destination at Lilongwe, Malawi. A special thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and event participants who have worked so hard to make this a reality!!

26.04.2020 RaksTrust inaugurates is new annual event RunForRak where participants run their own mini marathon (2.6 miles) across the UK. A huge thank you to the over  200 people took part!!

31.08.2019 RaksTrust reaches the £26,000 needed to equip and send an off-road ambulance to LSU in Malawi. A huge thank you to everyone who helped raise money to make this life saving project a reality.

31.08.2019 RaksTrust takes 50 walkers upto Helvellyn (although high winds prevented us form summiting) to complete Helvellyn 2019. Thanks to all those who participated and supported us!

01.09.2018 RaksTrust takes 55 walkers (and 3 dogs!!) up Pen Y Fan to complete it’s Fan Dance 2018 challenge. A big thank you to everyone who put in a huge effort to take on the trust’s slightly milder version of the SAS Fan Dance.

61 people ranging between 15-67 years of age completed at least 1 of three peaks on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge this year. Well done and thank you to all who took part!
