In the past we have supported the Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service, raising over £20,000 to support their activities as they receive no government funds. We will continue to support the Air Ambulance as part of our charitable activities.
In addition, RaksTrust has supported selected charities whose causes are similar to ours. We have recenly worked with Love Support Unite in raising £26,000 to provide and off-road ambulance to help with the medical outreach programme. This ambulance has so far been used to help over 45,000 people.
Our current project is to raise £45,000 to rebuild one of many school blocks in Nepal, affected by the devastation casued by the earhtquake in 2015. We are currently working with the Gurkha Welfare Trust, who have been supporting the wider community since the earthquake as part of their commitment to supporting British Gurkha veterans since World War 1.
